[edit] FAQ

(Feel free to extend the list of questions)

Q: How to install the theme?
A: Simply download the SIS file and copy it to your phone with your phone's preferred connectivity method. Use the file manager of your phone or your message centre (if you used bluetooth or infrared) to open the file which spawns the automatic installer. After you installed the theme simply go to Tools > Themes > General and select "Tango".

Q: Which phones/device models are supported?
A: The theme should work on all Symbian 60 2nd and 3rd Edition phone models. Check this list for phone models and versions.

Q: Oh, some icons still appear in the standard theme?
A: Yes, as this is and will always stay a "work in progress" project, expect some icons to not have a corresponding Tango replacement. Maybe an excellent reason to start on your own icon and contribute it for the next version?

Q: Can I sell this next to my ringtones and other "phone gadgets"?
A: No. The icons included and the theme are governed by certain licenses, this includes GPL and Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 which effectivly means the theme stays free open source software.

Q: Hmm, one of those icons appears to have black thick lines or borders?
A: Please report any icons you find which show such black lines! This issue related due to the SVG to TinySVG conversion where some icons have to manually be edited to fix the strokes (which are gradient strokes and not supported on the phones). Some might have been overlooked in this process.

Q: How was the theme created?
A: The theme was created using Nokia's Carbide.ui theme editor under Linux (VMWare). The icons and graphics have been created using the vector graphics editor Inkscape.

Q: How to contact?
A: Please write to info ; at / sukimashita % dot ยง com.
